About the Person
Mary Ballou Design was established in 2008 by owner and designer Mary Ballou Bousquet.  What began as a way to bring graphic skills, a sense of design and a love of paper together developed into the product line today.  Working from a studio in the Adirondack Mountains of Lake Placid, NY, the natural beauty of the region provides year-round inspiration for an ever growing product line.

About the Process
Each design begins as a graphic image, rendered to a black and white line art drawing which is then transferred to a custom rubber stamp.  Each note card is hand-stamped using archival quality ink that brings out the detail of the stamp. 

About the Paper

The paper is really where the design begins. Via vellum. . .Via felt. . .Strathmore wove and writing. . .Crane 100% cotton . . rich toothy papers that feels so good to write on and touch.
